4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you visit our website (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or to display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions you have requested (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f of GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the cookies in question will be stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of GDPR); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

If cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you about this separately in this data protection declaration and, if necessary, ask for your consent.

Cookie consent with " GDPR Legal Cookie"

This website uses the cookie consent tool “GDPR Legal Cookie” from beeclever GmbH, Universitätsstraße 3, D-56070 Koblenz a. Rh. (“beeclever”) to obtain effective user consent for cookies that require consent and cookie-based applications.

By integrating a corresponding JavaScript code, users are shown a banner when they visit the page in which they can give their consent for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications by ticking the appropriate boxes. The tool blocks the setting of all cookies that require consent until the respective user gives their consent by ticking the appropriate box. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user's respective device if consent has been given.

In order for the cookie consent tool to be able to clearly assign page views to individual users and to individually record, log and save the consent settings made by the user for a session duration, certain user information (including the IP address) is collected when our website is accessed by the cookie consent tool, transmitted to beeclever servers and stored there. This data processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.

A further legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. As the responsible party, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user consent.

Further information on data usage by beeclever can be found at https://beeclever.de/pages/datenschutz

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This is:

  • Browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request
  • IP address

This data will not be merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of his website - for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

contact form

If you send us inquiries using the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) if this was requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Inquiry by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your request, including all personal data resulting from it (name, request), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular statutory retention periods - remain unaffected.

You can register on this website to use additional functions on the site. We only use the data you enter for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject the registration.

For important changes, such as changes to the scope of our services or technically necessary changes, we will use the email address you provided during registration to inform you in this way.

The data entered during registration is processed for the purpose of implementing the user relationship established by the registration and, if necessary, for initiating further contracts (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR).

The data collected during registration will be stored by us for as long as you are registered on this website and will then be deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

For the comment function on this page, in addition to your comment, information about the time the comment was created, your email address and, if you do not post anonymously, the user name you have chosen will be stored.

Storage of the IP address

Our comment function stores the IP addresses of users who write comments. Since we do not check comments on this website before they are published, we need this data in order to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as insults or propaganda.

Subscribe to comments

You can unsubscribe from this function at any time using a link in the information emails. In this case, the data entered when subscribing to comments will be deleted; however, if you have sent this data to us for other purposes and elsewhere (e.g. newsletter order), this data will remain with us.

Storage period of comments

The comments and the associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on this website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments have to be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).

Legal basis

The comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

6. Analysis tools and advertising

6.1 Online marketing

If a user clicks on an ad placed by us that is displayed on Facebook, an extension is added to the URL of our linked page using Facebook Pixel. If our page allows data to be shared with Facebook via Pixel, this URL parameter is written into the user's browser using a cookie that our linked page itself sets. This cookie is then read by Facebook Pixel and enables the data to be forwarded to Facebook.

With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to determine the visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to only display the Facebook ads placed by us to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interests of users and do not appear annoying. In this way, we can further evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook advertisement (so-called "conversion").

The data collected is anonymous to us and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data usage policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data can enable Facebook and its partners to place advertisements on and outside of Facebook.

The data processing associated with the use of the Facebook pixel is carried out exclusively with your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, remove the check mark next to the setting for the "Facebook pixel" in the "Cookie Consent Tool" integrated on the website.

6.2 Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a web advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google AdSense uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Google AdSense also uses web beacons (small invisible graphics) to collect information that can be used to record, collect, and analyze simple actions such as visitor traffic on the website. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including your IP address) about your use of the website is generally transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. The information may also be transferred to Google LLC servers in the United States.

Google uses the information obtained in this way to evaluate your usage behavior with regard to the AdSense ads. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google AdSense will not be merged with other data held by Google. The information collected by Google may be transferred to third parties if this is required by law and/or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

The described processing of data is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR for the purpose of targeted advertising to the user by advertising third parties whose advertisements are displayed on this website based on the evaluated user behavior. This processing also serves our financial interest in exploiting the economic potential of our website by displaying personalized third-party advertising content for a fee.

You can find further information about Google’s privacy policy at the following internet address: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

You can permanently deactivate cookies for advertising preferences by preventing them through a corresponding setting in your browser software or you can download and install the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de

Please note that certain functions of this website may not be available or may only be available to a limited extent if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

To the extent legally required, we have obtained your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR for the processing of your data as described above. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please follow the option for making an objection described above.

6.3 Use of Google Ads Conversion Tracking

This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, as part of Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). We use the Google Ads service to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites using advertising materials (so-called Google Adwords). We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data from the advertising campaigns. Our aim is to show you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an Ads ad placed by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can block this use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie in your Internet browser under the keyword "User Settings". You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google Ads due to our legitimate interest in targeted advertising in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. When using Google Ads, personal data may also be transferred to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

You can find further information about Google’s privacy policy at the following internet address: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

You can permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Conversion Tracking by downloading and installing the browser plug-in from Google available under the following link:

https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de

Please note that certain functions of this website may not be available or may only be available to a limited extent if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

To the extent legally required, we have obtained your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR for the processing of your data as described above. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website or, alternatively, follow the option for objecting described above.

6.4 Google Marketing Platform

This website uses the online marketing tool Google Marketing Platform operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("GMP").

GMP uses cookies to display ads that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports, or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed multiple times. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

In addition, GMP can use cookie IDs to track conversions related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, when a user sees a GMP ad and later visits the advertiser's website using the same browser and makes a purchase through that website. According to Google, GMP cookies do not contain any personal information.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected through the use of this tool by Google and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge as follows: By integrating GMP, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on one of our advertisements. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. 7 Web analytics services

7.1 Google Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google (Universal) Analytics uses so-called "cookies", which are text files placed on your device, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your shortened IP address) is usually transferred to a Google server and stored there; this may also involve transmission to Google LLC servers in the USA.

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics exclusively with the extension "_anonymizeIp()", which ensures that the IP address is anonymized by shortening it and excludes direct personal reference. This extension means that your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google LLC server in the USA and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google (Universal) Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Google Analytics also uses a special function called "demographic features" to compile statistics with statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors based on an evaluation of interest-based advertising and with the use of third-party information. This allows the definition and differentiation of user groups of the website for the purpose of targeting marketing measures that are optimized for specific groups. However, data records collected via the "demographic characteristics" cannot be assigned to a specific person.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of Google Analytics cookies for reading information on the device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of GDPR. Without this consent, Google Analytics will not be used during your visit to the website.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics, which obliges Google to protect the data of our website visitors and not to pass it on to third parties.

For the transmission of data from the EU to the USA, Google relies on the so-called standard data protection clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European data protection level in the USA. Further information on Google (Universal) Analytics can be found here:

8 Tools and Others

8.1 beeclever

This website uses the Facebook visitor action pixel to measure conversions. The provider of this service is Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.

This allows the behavior of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimized.

The data collected is anonymous for us as the operator of this website, we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the Facebook Data Use Policy This allows Facebook to enable advertisements to be placed on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. 11. Own services

Handling applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by email, post or via online application form). Below we will inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions and that your data will be treated as strictly confidential.

Scope and purpose of data collection

If you send us an application, we will process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes from job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the new Federal Data Protection Act under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation) and - if you have given your consent - Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to people who are involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 of the new Federal Data Protection Act and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

Data retention period

If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application) on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. The storage serves in particular for evidence purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further storage no longer applies.

Longer storage may also take place if you have given your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or if statutory retention periods prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool

If we do not make you a job offer, we may be able to add you to our applicant pool. If you are accepted, all documents and information from your application will be added to the applicant pool so that we can contact you if suitable vacancies arise.

Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Providing your consent is voluntary and has no connection with the ongoing application process. The data subject may revoke his or her consent at any time. In this case, the data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted unless there are legal reasons for retention.

The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.
